STREAMER VS CHAT!

This is a brand new gamemode added with v0.38 A2 that allows Twitch streamers a new way to engage with their audience in Fret Smasher!

Simply navigate to the Settings Menu and scroll down to the Twitch Integration folder. To play this mode you must connect a Twitch account to Fret Smasher by entering the following:

- Oauth Key: This is a special log in key for the Twitch account that will listen to your chat. The account logged in does not need to be the one streaming, this is only for listening to your chat and sending out messages.

- Nick: This is the username/nick of the account signing in with the Oauth key.

- Channel: This is the channel you wish to listen to, aka the Twitch account/channel you are streaming on.

Once you have your sign in details made, you can adjust any further settings further down to refine the mode to work best for your streaming setup. Such as if you need longer vote times to account for latency or if you want Blitz Mode to activate or not.

The mode has you playing through songs as you normally would using Classic Play settings however your viewers will be able to vote on what Battle Powerup the wish to send your way. By default they have 30 seconds to vote and when the time is up, the attack with the most votes wins and is applied. We then reset with a new vote and the streamer has to survive the ongoing attack. Very rarely will Blitz Mode activate after a vote which will decrease the vote time dramatically, by default it lowers down to 10 seconds. However battle powers will still last just as long so be prepared as attacks from your viewers will now end up stacking!

Try the mode with your viewers on Twitch and remember you are welcome to share your Fret Smasher streams to the Fret Smasher Discord server. You just might attract a dev on the official Fret Smasher account to come watch!
