Introducing: Runes

Runes are your quintessential run modifiers.

From double boss fights to flipped item rarities, these runes will encourage new playstyle and give you some additional gameplay variety!

Runes are unlocked through achievements, similarly to weapons.

They are all unlocked relatively easily to keep them accessible, so just play a little and you'll get them with no problem 🙂

Weapons: Dagger, Guardian's Bulwark & Eye Of The Abyss

Here are some new weapon types we're introducing. To differentiate the new weapons from the existing ones, the direction we've taken was to design new and interesting gimmicks for these new weapons, which we hope would offer new and interesting playstyles for you to enjoy!

Balance changes:

Weapon Reworks: Molten Sickle & Blighted Trident

We've been wanting to rework these for a while now as they felt rather weak or outdated compared to more recent weapons and to compensate for the status effect damage nerf in an earlier patch.

Here are the changes:

Molten sickle:

• Slightly changed the timing of sickle's attacks.

• Strengthened the ability, ability now inflicts overheat, and explosion damage has been increased.

Blighted Trident:

• Attacks now have a chance to poison

• Poison duration from the ability has been increased.

Item Updates:

• Lucid bastion hp & damage has been reduced

• Tidepiercer damage has been reduced

Bug Fixes:

• Generation: Generation has been fully fixed, this means no more floating altars, no more wrongly placed chests, no more missing stuff, everything is exactly where it should be.

• Molten sickle: Previously the explosion did no damage

• Blobber's first trait, Septic Shock, was previously shooting 50x the number of projectiles it was supposed to, causing an immense amount of lag. This has been resolved.

• Deathscreen previously may have missing stats display.

• Fixed an issue where the player could not access the Boss Rush after finishing a run in the lobby tutorial.

• Magma eye's projectile now shoots correctly

Small Changes:

• Perforator did not have a boss icon, this has been fixed.

• Starting Boss Rush fight now removes all active dropped items off the map.

• Some enemies gain hyperarmour while doing charge attacks
