We’re coming to you today with an update on what we’ve been working on recently — and on top of that, a game update featuring two new challenges! You’ll find the full patch notes for this update at the end of this post.
New challenges
We’ve added these new challenges:
Blink of an eye - I don’t want to spoil the fun of figuring it out, but let’s just say it’ll test you like no challenge has before! Finding the perfect strategy is essential, and every single coin counts.
Crop failure - In Laysara, you always produce food for your citizens, but what if that wasn’t an option? Could you balance your trading expenses and revenue if your survival depended on buying food? Try it out on Miner’s Gambit, a mountain that hasn’t been used in any previous challenge.

Community wiki

We’re delighted to have such dedicated fans who want to help other players by creating this wiki. Thanks so much, folks! If you want to contribute or just chat about the wiki, we have a dedicated channel for that on our Discord server.
Upcoming content update
We’re getting close to releasing the third and final major content update prior to the 1.0 launch, featuring a new transportation method and a brand-new scenario. What’s the new transportation method, you ask? We’ll reveal it in the next post! But here’s a hint: It will be the most efficient way to transport resources over long distances on a mountain, and that’s because it has a fixed cost - unaffected by distance or the amount of resources transported.

As mentioned, this will be the last content update during our Early Access road. After that, we’ll be focusing on the campaign and the 1.0 launch! We’ve already started working on it, so it won’t be long before you can enjoy Laysara in this exciting new game mode :)

Full patch notes
Two new challenges: Blink of an eye and Crop failure
Added “Boost difficulty!” button to the Challenge completed screen, if the challenge was completed on non-boosted difficulty, and it doesn’t have a time limit
Gold trading price changed from 100/70 to 90/60 (buying/selling price)
Fixed a bug resulting in weather breakdowns occurring too rarely in Sandbox mode
Fixed bug with powerful avalanche being stopped by two rows of barriers
Fixed bug with status icons on Shafts not initialising properly after game load
Coppersmith and Inlay Ornament Foundry are now available to build on Smothered Flame in Sandbox mode (were disabled by mistake)
Lowlanders now have a demand for the Summit Temple on Splintered Soul (didn’t have it by mistake)
PS: To see if you have the latest patch, check the ID of your current game version by holding Left Alt in the Main Menu. If it's not the latest ID (16254), restart Steam - this will force it to detect the update.
