Update notes via Steam Community

Hey guys

It's been a little while, decided to post a quick update.

Mostly to prove I'm still alive and haven't walked away indefinitely.

I wouldn't abandon any games I've released, ain't about that life.

So if there's ever any radio silence for some time then something's probably wrong lol

Changelog:

  • Added the option to have non-gibbed enemy bodies stay

  • Added the option to have non-gibbed human enemies always ragdoll

It's not a huge one, granted, but there were requests for these so why not?

Updates and shit

Ultra Cop Content

Apologies for how long the big updates are taking.

I know you guys have WAY better stuff to be doing anyways, and no one's sitting around waiting for Ultra Cop updates, but I feel guilty for not keeping you guys in the loop.

The way I do level creation takes an ungodly amount of time, my fault obviously, but it looks better that way in the end.

I'm gonna release the first 2 of the 4 mission maps the moment they're done, just to keep the content flowing, instead of waiting until all are completed. After that the 2 survival maps, then the cosmetic stuff.

Next Game shit

One of the reasons the Ultra Cop updates are slower, is because I have this existential worry about not releasing more new games.

Makes me feel like a proper knob, I'll tell ya what.

I have been making prototypes and quick idea projects to figure out how to lessen the amount of time it takes to make smaller games that are fun but won't take forever to create.

There's no silver bullet, unfortunately.

Especially if you're retarded like me.

The Saturn's Gaze and Twisted Metal-like projects have been constantly reconfigured or restarted since I've told you guys about it.

ALL MY FAULT OBVIOUSLY

In fact I'm gonna make my life harder and show some of it here so we can all laugh at it together, proving that I have in fact been wasting precious life hours making shit that no one will ever care about ːsteamthumbsupː

The first from the video is the car combat prototype, had to figure out how to emulate the Twisted Metal style controls. Didn't exactly succeed, but it's close enough and responsive.

The second prototype is the stealth game that would have been part of Saturn's Gaze, where you control a cheerleader that's been kidnapped and placed in an environment where demons are hunting you and you gotta use items and sneak. FPS Booba was inspired by Jurassic Park: Trespasser.

The idea is there's traps and demons that would kill you horribly and the screenshot with the tiles is where you get to see the gruesome event as a cutscene. Sick I know, would would make something like that?

Third is a fast-paced action prototype in the style of PS1 era cel shading, specifically from the game, Slap Happy Rhythm Busters. In fact i modeled and painted the player character according the the style of that game to a tee, that's how much i vibed with it.

Don't know if anyone would rather prefer this one be developed further though.

And yes, booba.

I will have booba in my games if i can help it (not a gooner lol)

Really wonder why I even bother sometimes, can probably fill a graveyard with all the uncompleted and forgotten projects.

I know that's just how things are, but it sucks man lol

Anyways I'll stop bitching and moaning out the ass.

Next update will hopefully be more positive and less lame ːsteamthumbsupː
