We’re very excited to announce the release of Update #07!

Pecunia is evolving! There are lots of new faces in the streets… and some familiar ones are looking a bit different. New hairstyles, new beard styles… has anyone else noticed a sudden rise in barber shops?

Jokes aside, here’s a complete list of the features that you’ll find in this update, which is out today!

💎 Community Feedback: We highlight improvements that are based on community feedback or suggestions. We look forward to your feedback in our Steam Community Hub or Discord server.

New Features

  • 💎Character Pack #2: we have introduced 36 new faces, 36 new hairstyles (each with 4 color variants), and 21 new beards (also in 4 color variants). With all these additions, you’ll meet a much wider variety of characters and you’ll also be able to customize your own character like never before!
  • 💎Difficulty Levels: when you start a new game, you can now choose between Easy, Normal and Hard modes to tailor the game to your preferred challenge level.


Quality of Life

  • 💎Companions Skills balance: we’ve made significant improvements during generation and progression of Companion Skills. From now on, all Companions of the same level will always have the same number of Skills, while Mercenaries will consistently have one extra Skill compared to others. Because of this, now a Companion will automatically gain a new Skill when leveling up. If you have a game in progress, these improvements will take effect starting from the next Companion generation in the Tavern.


Fixes

  • Allegiance balance in Town Events: if you knowingly acquire a cursed item during a Town Event, your Allegiance will now be affected accordingly.
  • Prestige balance in Travel Events: we’ve increased the Prestige penalty for making evil choices during Travel Events. These actions now have a greater impact on your starting Prestige in the next settlement.
  • Save game animation: we fixed an issue where the save animation would not display properly in certain situations.
  • Other minor fixes and improvements.

In addition to this, we’re delighted to announce that our official Dealer’s Life Legend Avatars are now available on Steam. We really hope you’ll like them and we look forward to seeing them in your profiles!

While releasing this update, we’ve also been hard at work behind the scenes on some other big features like the Exchange Hall, Achievements and new localizations, and we’re making great progress! So stay tuned, there will soon be more news!
Talking about achievements, at one point they will show up in the coming weeks but you will not be able to unlock them yet. For testing purposes we unfortunately have to make them public before releasing them. So please keep that in mind when people start asking about why the achievements are not working in the Steam forums. 😅
