Gold Cup

Two OFC teams and two worst ranked CONMEBOL teams will now compete in a joint preliminary round.

An extra qualifying round has been introduced to determine the two invitee teams that will participate in the Gold Cup finals. This means that instead of having four invitees directly entering the finals, only two teams will qualify through this new stage.

The new qualifying format should appear after the Gold Cup 2025.
