# Patch Notes – May 17, 2025

## Added
- Two new artifacts in the bunker:
- **The Speedboot**: increases the movement speed of all players within a 10 m radius by 150%, but deals damage over time to its wearer.
- **The Shrinker**: lets you shrink and squeeze into tight spots (those spots aren’t implemented yet—coming in a future update).
- Adjustable mouse sensitivity and FPS‐limit settings.
- Monsters can now trigger mines when they’re chasing you.
- A brand-new room added to the bunker.
- Game version check: you can no longer join sessions across mismatched builds (e.g. demo → playtest or vice versa), which previously froze players on the crafting screen due to version errors.

## Changed
- Slightly rebalanced item spawn rates in the bunker.
- Disabled saving until there’s at least 2+ hours of content available.
- Overhauled all bunker lighting to realistic volumetric lighting.

## Fixed
- Dead‐chat icons now display correctly.
- HUD no longer shows in spectator mode.
- Resolved Steam‐icon/nickname fetching errors that caused multiple bugs.
- In-game menu is now clickable.
- Players no longer glow after encountering the doll.
- Corrected player‐icon scaling on the life-status monitor.
- Plus dozens of networking and code fixes that resolved various other issues.

## In Development
- Facial animations on player models
- New bunker: an abandoned psychiatric hospital
- Random events (storm, nuclear-bomb launch)
- More humorous artifacts, crafting items, and train upgrades (extra carriage already built)
- Monster visual overhaul
- Greater randomness for replay variety—so each run feels different, artifact combinations drive new coop-survival strategies and deliver fun, unique gameplay.
