Update notes via Steam Community
A major Toastercide Update has dropped and it's a new game mode! A tsunami is hitting and the toaster must grapple and swing through an infinite city in order to survive. The city is procedurally generated, so every run is different. You can also collect coins and toast along the way to help you traverse the tight alleyways and towering buildings with ease. See how far you can get!

This game mode has been in the works for a long time now. It was actually supposed to be in the original release. However, due to time constraints, this was pushed all the way until now (almost 6 months later). I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and I find myself replaying it over and over again, trying to get a better time. I hope you guys enjoy it too!

The game mode plays kind of like Subway Surfers, but with our favorite spider-toaster. The city is generated in a way where the toaster must eventually switch roads (lanes), without running straight into a building. Some blocks only have tight alleyways where the toaster can squeeze through. There are also toast pick ups along the way, with each toast pickup changing the type equipped, so the game play and toast tech gets varied. Coins are scattered around, giving players another way to boost their score. However, playtesting revealed that players didn't actually care about the coins, so now they provide a small health boost as well! There's also a balloon shaped surprise if you make it far enough.

There may be some smaller updates including adding enemies, more diversity in the city layout, and difficulty scaling improvements. Keep an eye out for those!
