Hello! Below are the most notable changes for this update. We have done a lot of tweaks and improvements, added new missions and destinations and a lot more!

Progression wipe and new intro
We’ve created a new introduction to the game to give more context on what you’re doing and why. This is our first iteration of the lore, and we’ll expand it as we continue developing the game prior and during Early Access. Unfortunately, we needed to wipe your progression since the intro of the game will assist and unlock parts to proceed.

We’ve also changed how you unlock components. You now simply unlock them by finding them during missions, instead of doing side quests.

Ship Persistence
The components you have installed on the ship when a mission ends will continue to be installed and exist when you start the next mission. Components on the floor and shelves will not carry over.

Introducing BuddyBot!
With this update we have also introduced a new droid that will help you on your solo missions - Buddy Bot! BuddyBot is not the most intelligent one (yet), but it will do for now. He can man the combat seat, revive you, help shooting robots on foot, repair the Core, and teleport loot to the ship. When he's not busy assisting you, he’ll be cleaning the bar. He’s not active when playing co-op (still cleans the bar though).

Artifacts
Artifacts are tablets you will find during the missions that can alter your session completely with unique passive abilities to your ship and crew. The Artifacts are installed on the ship next to the Core, and will play a significant role in Jump Ship moving forward. This will give the game a more roguelite flavor and we’ve been having a lot of fun trying out various builds when testing internally. It still needs a lot more tweaks and we’re looking forward to hear your feedback.

Ship Ammo
We have removed enhanced ammo and replaced it with proper ship ammo. The ship’s guns now use ammo and you now need to craft and reload your guns for proper firepower. When playing solo, BuddyBot will reload for you.

Player inventory reworked
We’ve reworked the player inventory to be more flexible so you can carry more items. Fewer items are considered heavy now too.

Emotes
Hold X to bring up an emote wheel! 👍

Network and crash fixes
We’ve done a lot of work to stabilize the network connection, so playing with your friends will work way better. We’ve also fixed a bunch of crashes and bugs hindering you from progressing.

Known issues
There are some issues with picking up weapons in the hangar at the shooting range, and we’ve also noticed that it sometimes looks like you can't grapple (greyed out F interact button) items to you, but you can.

Note: This list consolidates major gameplay‑relevant changes. Many smaller fixes, network refactors, or behind the scenes code changes have been omitted for brevity. Enjoy the updates!
