It’s with great pleasure and pride that we present Update 1.0.6 for Highway Police Simulator. Over the past few weeks, we’ve worked hard to deliver a substantial update with 131 individual improvements, focusing on performance, missions, and overall game stability.

🚨 Mission Improvements (38 in total)
• Mission objective icons now indicate special requirements (e.g., specific vehicle needed)
• New randomized search zone positions in A Glimpse at Terror
• Improved navigation marker logic and visual placement in various missions
• Fixed issues with:
• Incorrect or missing objective markers
• Dialogue sequences not triggering
• Missions not progressing properly
• Game state not saving after completing missions
• Re-enabled “From Russia With Love” mission and fixed related crashes
• Fixed missing NPCs and missing banter in multiple story missions
• Tweaked mission reward balancing and logic
• Improved logic for partner behavior and detection in scripted sequences

💬 Dialogue & Partner Interactions
• Dialogue flow improved when multiple conversations trigger in sequence
• Banter now pauses correctly when menus are opened
• Fixed issues with dialogue cameras, choice menus, and missing dialogue options
• Fixed Nataly freezing when trying to walk down stairs (e.g., From Russia With Love)
• Banter no longer interrupts during active shootouts
🚗 Vehicles
• Added new visual smoke effect for broken engines – helps visualize engine failures 🔧 (Consider adding an image!)
• Fixed DUI test dialogues not appearing when required
• Fixed issue with light dialog triggering incorrectly
• Adjusted vehicle physics and spawn behavior during fast travel
• Fixed rare cases of firetruck behavior breaking or clipping into geometry
• Fixed vehicles behaving incorrectly when opening menus while driving

⚙️ Performance & Optimization (29 in total)
• Major improvements to core systems (animations, save/load logic, UI rendering)
• Reduced lag when:
• Driving around large areas
• Unlocking fast travel points
• Discovering points of interest
• Completing mission objectives
• Improved performance baseline around police station
• Reduced stuttering when loading NPCs and other characters
• Improved animation handling (e.g., shotgun reload, time-skipping sequence)
• Dropped objects now properly despawn when fast traveling
• Faster menu navigation and reduced memory consumption
💡 Note: We’re already working on more performance updates to further reduce frame spikes and stutters in the next patch.

🧍♂️ Characters & Animations
• Player now properly holds coffee cup during time skip scene ☕
• Fixed A-posing and character loading glitches
• Improved facial animations and posture alignment
• Improved reload animation for the shotgun
🔫 Combat
• Bullet impacts now have custom sounds when hitting vehicles
• Improved AI pathing during shootouts
• Partner (Nataly) now auto-revives if downed
• Fixed crash when partner is revived by medic
• Fixed hit registration on enemies – especially those affected by land mines

🧑💻 User Interface (UI) – 10 Improvements
• Scaled UI properly for high-DPI displays
• Improved responsiveness of the radial menu
• Fixed issues with:
• Missing or delayed mission markers
• Inaccurate tech tree vehicle unlocks
• Wrong vehicle preview and descriptions in tech tree
• Drone UI displaying incorrect controls or icons
• Visual glitches on vending machines
• Map now properly draws discovered points of interest
🌍 World, Environment & Systems
• Improved player respawn logic – no more stuck positions on reload
• Fixed terrain collision and lighting inconsistencies
• World boundaries now enforced more reliably
• Adjusted spawn logic for NPCs and static objects
• Improved trigger logic for enterable areas (e.g., police station, mission zones)
