This is the biggest update yet, focused on improving the overall experience.
- The save system has been added.
- Animations have been added for each village shop.
- The mission format has been reworked.
- The sound effect bank has been doubled.
- A narrator has been added: Jason, the first Argonaut.
- With the narrator, the initial tutorials have been improved.
- Missions now include narrative background.
- A scoring system has been added to evaluate each run.
- The final boss icon has been improved, along with a new unlock system.
- Two new music tracks have been added.
- Work missions have been improved.
Now the game saves every time you move to a new village and after each mission you complete. This allows you to pause your runs and, if a bug appears, not lose all your progress.
Village improvements:
Regarding the improvement of villages, everything has been upgraded. A small animation and a new sound have been added when making purchases. For the shaman, a new animation has been added when upgrading cards, and another one for removing them, where the card is burned. For the artifact, an animation has been added that varies depending on whether it's your first time using it or not, along with a new sound that I think fits perfectly.
The Spa wasn’t going to be left out—it now has a bubble animation, and it’s blocked if your health is already full.
Mission improvements:
The mission board is the one that has changed the most. The mission design has been improved, a hand-drawn image has been added for each enemy, and the selection system has been enhanced.Additionally, a wax seal with the Argonauts’ logo appears once a mission is completed.
As for feedback, finishing a mission used to feel gloomy—nothing heroic. Now there’s a new animation, redesigned coins, and many new sound effects that come together to make saving lives much more satisfying.
The map is now much more useful: you’ll be able to see the consequences of your missions and how many lives you’ve saved with them. Key locations, village names, and enemy transition zones have also been added.
Final boss and end
Since the mission system has been changed, the final boss selection has also been redesigned. The final boss music and the music in Village Seven have been changed to differentiate them, and the Argonaut’s heartbeat has been added during the final battle to reinforce the feeling of sacrificing your life to save the world. After defeating them, your run will be evaluated and you’ll receive a score. Jason will give you some feedback, and if you’ve unlocked something, it will appear there.
Several bugs have been fixed, but if any new ones appear, please let me know—and thank you so much if you’ve read all of this.
