We’ve released several hotfixes to address the reported issues with version 0.35. You can find all the details in the changelogs below:



v0.35.5

(April/10, 2025)

Game Engine
  • Fixed a crash when closing the application

Input and Force Feedback
  • Improved force feedback in several steering wheels by reducing the refresh rate

    In recent releases the Automatic update rate was allowed to use up to 2000Hz, instead of the safer 400Hz that was used in the past. An excessive update rate will be detrimental for some steering wheels, resulting in poor force feedback. This hotfix reverts Automatic back to using 400Hz or lower.
    Note: If you want to experiment with higher rates, you can select them manually as usual, and test the results. We advice that you retest after any update to steering wheel drivers and firmware, or that you switch back to Automatic.

    • Fixed an issue with floating rocks in quarry
    • Fixed missing roof in suburb area

Game Engine
  • Fixed a variety of game crashes that affected multiple mods

Audio
  • Reverted changes to the BX-Series audio (engine-only)
  • Fixed a crash caused by mod audio playback
    • Playing loose audio files from within mods using the SourceGroup field of the sound emitter resulted in a crash

User Interface
  • Radial Menu
    • Removed unnecessary file read/write operations while using radial menu. This should improve performance when using low-end hard drives
  • Fixed an issue with UI apps disappearing after changing the layout then switching to Bigmap and back to Freeroam
  • Implemented a potential fix for the translation service showing broken labels in Main Menu and several other screens
  • Fixed UI apps not loading layout with a scenario in Freeroam
  • Fixed incorrect milliseconds display under certain conditions
  • Fixed non-functioning events in Vue UI apps that are running under Angular
  • Implemented a potential fix for navigator not loading in mods

Gameplay
  • Orbit Camera
    • Dynamic orbit camera pitch transition is now paused when the camera is rotated manually by the player

Early Preview: Career Mode
  • General Fixes
    • Fixed AI Race challenges not showing default objectives in some cases
    • Added mileage to vehicle assessment results
    • Performance Test is canceled if the engine is too damaged
    • Fixed vehicles not requiring repairs for challenges if the performance index was not yet assessed

  • Fixed an issue with the Radial Menu where the buttons could lose focus randomly when using a mouse while a controller is plugged in
  • Updated iconfont, added new icons for the Infobar and Radial Menu
  • Replaced the old Replay App with a new one, minor styling fix for the updated app — speed controls are now centered with the Play button
  • Fixed Hardware warnings that previously appeared on every Main Menu entrance
  • Several fixes for the Infobar: improved handling of long labels, and tweaked responsiveness on smaller screens

Vehicle AI & Traffic
  • Fixed behavior of traffic activation function

    This returns the old behavior of allowing all spawned vehicles to be used as traffic.
  • Parking system optimization and bounding box fix

Early Preview: Career Mode
  • Fixed an issue where some parts kept their old color when repainting a vehicle
  • Fixed an issue where you could remove the body from a vehicle in the part inventory

World Editor
  • Fixed various errors and issues in the Traffic Manager
    • Parked cars are now designated as not drivable
    • Fixed a wrong index in the vehicle selector
    • Fixed errors that could show up when loading a session
  • Building Architect: adjusting roof shape for base shape with concave angles
  • Building Architect: fixed issues with loading saved session from JSON

Audio
  • Reduced the volume of antilag on Vivace Rally by 4dB
  • Modified the EQ pass on i4p 2000 as it was too muffled

  • Fixed a crash to desktop that could occur during startup (showing error 0xc0000139 STATUS_ENTRYPOINT_NOT_FOUND)
  • Fixed a crash in physics subsystem when using certain mods

  • Fixed a potential drop in framerate when certain input devices were connected
