We are thrilled to let you know that two brand-new features for Whispers in the West—the Mystery Editor and Steam Workshop support are now live!

The Mystery Editor

Have you ever wanted to create your own murder mystery? Now you can:

  • Craft Your Own Story – Develop a one-day mini-mystery or an intricate three-day case.
  • Test Your Script Instantly – Try out your custom script in-game via Steam and refine it as needed.
  • Playtest with Friends – Gather your friends to playtest your mystery (and remember, friends always play for free!).
  • Share with the Community – Once you're satisfied, upload your case to the Steam Workshop and share your creation with the wider community.

Accessing the Editor

The Whispers in the West Mystery Editor is accessed online through your web browser. Go to https://editor.whispersinthewest.infinite-y.com/ and get started. (You will need to own a copy of the game first, of course).

First Workshop Case

In case you missed our previous announcement. A whole new case, Two Bad Sisters, will be free for all as the first workshop case.

Written by Jon Ingold, the acclaimed writer behind Overboard! and A Highland Song, Two Bad Sisters is a curious mystery that will challenge even the sharpest detectives.

The elegant Miss Sara Estelle has arrived in Brimstone, seeking your help to recover a valuable possession left with the priest. But there’s a twist—the priest insists she has already retrieved it! Who’s lying? Who’s telling the truth? And who’s simply mistaken? It’s up to you to uncover the mystery.
