To address this, I've changed the way that the spawner logic works. Duplicate enemies are now generally less common, with certain enemies spawning duplicates much more rarely (particularly the big spider, which quickly can get out of hand with multiple onscreen). High enemy counts are also generally less rare, and the number and difficulty of enemies scales a bit more quickly early on, while scaling more slowly in later waves.
The other big change is the Stats beta! You can now see stats for a run at the end of a run, and all-time stats from the main menu. If you'd like to see more stats tracked, please let me know. I am tracking some stats under the hood currently that aren't exposed yet, such as counting how many times you have destroyed each specific enemy, and counts for each length of word typed. However, stats are currently universal, meaning stats are tracked the same whether you're in normal mode, hell mode, single-key mode, etc.
That's the big stuff, but there are a few other changes and additions:
- The Big Turret and Flaming Sawblade enemies have had an HP buff, and now both take 2 hits to destroy
- Rogue Mode now includes a new upgrade to increase your parry size
- Autotyper ability now has indicators for when the autotyper finishes typing a word. When it's finished, a sound effect will play and the player's text will flash green
- The Bomb enemy now is properly affected by the Scrambler
- Text flipping behavior for enemies at the top of the screen should no longer flicker up and down
