Hey everyone,

I’m thrilled to announce that Hexagod is officially live in Early Access!

This is a huge milestone for me as a solo developer! I’m excited (and a little nervous) to finally share the game with you all. Over the next week, I’ll be focusing on bug fixes and balance adjustments based on your feedback. After that, you can expect regular content updates and I’ve got some pretty big plans in store.

Coming soon:
  • New Hex-a-techs
  • More villager traits and cosmetics
  • Additional relics
  • More ascension levels
  • A bit of story and lore
  • Steam achievements
  • Quality-of-life improvements (like control remapping!)
  • And even more?

Why Early Access?

I want to make Hexagod a fun game. As a solo game developer Early Access is core to my iterative feedback driven approach to game development. My goal is to gather feedback from players about the core systems, quality of life improvements, balance of the game, and to get a better sense of the features/systems players want to see in the full version of Hexagod.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Approximately 6 months, but I could easily see myself extending the timeline if you all love this game and want even more depth and replayability added to Hexagod.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

As Hexagod progresses from Early Access to the full version, I plan on expanding the game's content and adding more features (more villager cosmetics, a personality trait system for villagers, more buildings/improvements, more relics, likely more ascension levels, achievements....)

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

The current version has all the game's main features implemented such as:
  • Customizable villagers
  • Tech tree with 40 unlocks
  • 12 powerful relics
  • 8 unique hexagon terrain tiles
  • Ascension challenge mode


Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

Yes, I’ve set the current price to be a special early access price. I plan to increase the price near the full launch based on the amount of content I’m able to add during early access.
