Happy to announce that I have just pushed a new highly experimental update to a new beta branch for Through The Ages which brings NVIDIA's new Mega Geometry, ReSTIR PT, DLSS 4 & Ray Reconstruction to the game, as seen in NVIDIA's Zorah Demo, now this is very very experimental so expect bugs.

Being based on a different branch of Unreal Engine, this Mega Geometry beta branch lacks the RayTraced Caustics found in the normal release so it can look a little strange, but overall the RayTraced effects are much more stable thanks to tracing the full geometry and the inclusion of DLSS 4 with Ray Reconstruction.

You can find this branch under the Betas tab in the steam application settings.

I will warn you right now, these features can be very heavy compared to tracing the old fallback meshes so expect severe frame rate drops with extreme closeups of the GPU models with this branch.

It is also best to disable DOF and Lens Flares as there is currently a bug in this version.

Again this is a branch to play around with, the inteded vision is the normal release.
