GAMEPLAY


Hoolard the Owl is now a character, and must be protected. He patrols your inner base, and if he dies: game over.

Army birds require birdhouses. Each birdhouse gives you 6 slots, and if you don’t have enough, birds turn into eggs when you free them.

There’s a new day/night cycle. Night time still sends enemies.

Having a low amount of inventory items gives you a speed buff, while having a full inventory gives you a speed debuff.

The floor is lava event now hurts enemies, and flings them around.

Birdcages no longer always need a guard, and less than half will need one.

You select your spawn point on the random map.

Made multiplayer less communistic with the following changes:

-Only the player who killed an enemy can collect it’s soul
-Added a scoreboard for singleplayer & multiplayer.
-The player who contributes the most to completing a building gets the point
-The player an army bird is following loses points when it dies
-You only get kill bonuses if you did half or more of the damage to an enemy, or swung the final swing.

Removed the gravestone respawn from multiplayer. You just respawn like single player now.


ENEMIES


Kitties will now attack base buildings, and destroy them if they can.

The Heroin Kitty will now drop their bird if they take damage.

Reduced how high the sorcerer kitty flings you, and made him take longer to cast magic.

There’s now a higher chance for the base raid event

Scaled enemy damages on the Random Map to match their biome’s difficulty

WEAPONS


When high on mushrooms, you have infinite poop.

Added the ‘Repair Hammer’. Use it to repair your base buildings, and smash kitties. It’s a bit better than the spear, but takes more to craft.

ITEMS


Dying drops half of your items.

Lowered the amount of chests in the world.

Lowered the chance of loot from skinning cats, because items were accumulating too fast.

Falling items now have an animation, making it more clear that they’re paper.

Rebalanced starting items.

Mushrooms don’t distort the screen as much.

BUILDINGS


The Birdhouse no longer requires blood sacrifice to be built.

Bird nests can now only hatch one egg at a time

The campfire at base now burns you if you stand in it.

GRAPHICS


New day night cycle! Each time of day has different lighting, and world colors.

Trees become transparent when you’re directly behind them.

The transitions between skyboxes and lighting have been smoothed out.

There’s now a walk animation for when you’re drawing a weapon.


AUDIO


Army birds are quieter.

Many weapons that used to not play music, now play music.

UI


Added a scoreboard for singleplayer & multiplayer.

Added notifications for defeating the Gigga Mummy, and the Sorcerer Tower.

The map no longer rotates with the world

The soul pouch question no longer pops up when you don’t have souls to spend

Every 5 minutes you go without turning, Hoolard the Owl will remind you how

Added more answers to ‘Ask the Owl’ questions (pressing 2)

Feeding Hoolard the Owl is now in the tutorial

Notifications last a little longer

Changed from ‘Camp’ lingo back to ‘Base’ lingo

The army manager is now more condensed, and only takes up the top of the screen.

The army manager shows how many birdhouses you have, and how many soldier slots you have available.

Attacking with menus open is now possible, and much more consistent.

Main menu now shows your score in the saved games menu stats bar.

FIXED BUGS


Fixed Explosive Diarrhea not returning to Shotgun Shit after the status effect ends

Fixed destroying the ghost kitty with a magic staff also destroying the player it’s haunting

Fixed the Duck’s map icon being a Toucan

Fixed saved birdhouse forges not loading their current item

Fixed enemies phasing through the pyramid walls

Fixed many objects not rotating with the rest of the world

Fixed heroin kitties & cowboys not dropping their birds upon death.

Fixed soul pouch getting stuck open after sucking up enemies

Fixed the soul pouch bugging out after playing for awhile

Fixed thrown spears blocking interactions

Fixed kitty reclamation not working on the Random Map

Fixed the duck being a respawn option even when you didn’t have one

Fixed kitties being unable to climb trees on random map

Fixed base buildings not loading properly from a saved game

Fixed forge not working when players aren’t rotated the same way

Fixed many enemies glitching out when hit in multiplayer
