Hello, everyone!

Ninano: Dream Ranch Version 1.1 is now live!

This update took the longest time to develop so far. I focused on adding more dialogue for the villagers and improving quality-of-life features based on feedbacks.

Thank you all for playing and supporting the game! Below are the patch notes.


Highlights
  • Approximately 24,000 words of new everyday dialogue added.
  • Birthday gifts from residents.
  • Gifts when residents' heart level increase.
  • Gifts for every 10 kinds of fish donated.
  • 140+ new items.


Quality of Life Improvements
  • Increased the range of pickaxe and shovel usage.
  • The shipping box has been moved outside, allowing earnings even on holidays of 'Get All Wholesale Store'.
  • Ingredients stored in the refrigerator can now be used when cooking with recipes.
  • Added sorting options (by name, by craftability) to the 'Follow Recipe' cooking UI.
  • Added various quantity selection buttons when cooking with recipes.
  • Animal details UI now displays affinity levels numerically.
  • Recipes and blueprints can now be used directly from the inventory.


Text Readability
  • Improved item name readability by changing text color to a darker shade.
  • Increased font size for difficulty selection descriptions in the new game menu.
  • Increased font size for Elena's reverse confession event.
  • Increased font size for Kana's red heart event.
  • Increased font size for tool crafting UI.
  • Increased font size for animal purchase descriptions.
  • Added an outline to the map name displayed in the top-right corner for better readability.
  • Adjusted UI so that consumable item effects with more than two lines do not overlap with icons below.
  • Item descriptions now automatically adjust direction to prevent text from being cut off.
  • Increased item description UI size to prevent from being cut off.


NPC Updates
  • You can receive gifts when heart levels increase.
  • You can receive birthday gifts from NPCs with purple hearts or higher.
  • Approximately 24,000 words of new everyday dialogue added. Total dialogue count now includes:
    ● ~80 lines per romanceable NPC.
    ● ~20 lines per non-romanceable NPC.
  • Favorite items for some NPCs have been added or changed.
  • Romanceable NPCs now have orange hearts as their maximum level before marriage.
  • In difficulty of Fast, NPCs now start with half a gray heart instead of a purple heart.
  • Schedule Additions and Changes
    ● Miya’s schedule changed after marriage.
    ● Koby has additional dialogue while performing specific actions.
    ● Koby visits the restaurant terrace on weekends.
    ● Haru plays instruments and music after marriage.
    ● Ria’s fishing shop visit changed from Monday to Saturday.


New Items
  • 90 Recipes and Dishes
  • 10 Mushrooms (can be obtained by digging cracked ground with a shovel)
  • 3 cooking ingredients available at the general store Brown
  • 10 magic accessories.
  • 4 floorings, 4 wallpapers, 1 frame.
  • Oven can now be purchased at the restaurant.
  • Cauldron can now be purchased at the potion shop.
  • 2 type of truffle oil can now be crafted using the oil extractor.
  • 20+ furnitures (gifts from residents)


Adds
  • You can now receive a gift for every 10 kinds of fish donated.
  • Refrigerator customization available (10 types).
  • The mountain’s colors now change with the seasons.
  • Cloud and reef background objects to the lighthouse observatory.


Changes
  • Adjusted UI in the calendar app to prevent festival names from overlapping with dates.
  • Cafe construction reward changed to a magic accessory.
  • Changed 2 heart flooring design to a more readable color.
  • Changed production tools so each crafted item has different production times.
  • Fixed lighthouse observatory flooring so it no longer appears cut off.
  • Butcher shop now provides a sausage recipe instead of meat fat.
  • Restaurant now sells a rotating selection of 10 different meals and recipes each day.
  • Food and recipe selection at the restaurant expands as Edward's heart level increases.


Bug Fixes
  • The number of raised animals not increased by one each time the game was loaded.
  • Text now visible when entering a nickname after starting a romance.
  • Text now visible when changing the ranch name at the Community Service Center
  • Correct ingredients for blueberry ice cream.
  • Lloyd’s Christmas duplicate dialogue no longer appears.
  • Chris no longer moves to an inaccessible area after marriage.
  • Buying multiple tools at once not caused them to share durability anymore.
  • Players can throw animals onto locations occupied by held animals.
  • The reward for donating all fish was incorrectly set and can now be reclaimed at the counter.


UI Fixes
  • Calendar app not overlapping seasonal graphics at 1600x900 resolution.
  • Adjusted Residents app position for heart levels at 1600x900 resolution.
  • Spouse titles now appear in the Residents app.
  • Mine floor UI now disappeared even if the player stayed overnight in the mine.
  • Save file selection text now not broken in some languages.
  • Title screen and pause menu backgrounds not cut off in certain resolutions.
  • Language selection UI on the title screen displayed too large depending on resolution.
  • Items for sale at the aquarium names translate immediately.
