Update notes via Steam Community
Hello from Liminetics! Our mission is to build tools to improve VR. VRInputSpy was built because we had a problem: how can we demo our future apps if no one can see what we're doing in the demo? If you stream VR games or build software, hopefully we can help you solve this too.

We wanted to post something day-one to let you know what we have on our roadmap, so let's get to it.

What's next?

Tippy-top of the feature backlog right now is Linux support. We're hugely invested in the open source ecosystem, and this will hopefully be the only time we release an app without Linux supported on day one. Besides, we hear the same rumors you do and the year of Linux VR seems closer than 2049.

Also on the docket for the immediate future is custom themes. This will allow you to tweak the colors of each interaction type on the controllers to integrate them even better into your stream layout or brand color scheme.

Finally, we'll of course be prioritizing any issues the community discovers in this first release. We tested with as many controllers and systems as we could get our hands on, but the VR community is large and very creative, so we expect to find some setups out there that don't work as well as they could. Please use the built-in bug reporting or email support@liminetics.com with any weird behavior you find so we can get VRInputSpy working smoothly for everyone!

And then?

There are plenty more features we think might be useful, but we want to hear from the community. What VR content creation problems can we help you solve? Let us know!

Finally, thanks to everyone who has wishlisted or even just looked at VRInputSpy! As a new developer, we don't have much reach at the moment. If you end up liking VRInputSpy, sharing it with others who might have a use for it would mean the world to us.

We'd also love to see what you make with it. Send us screenshots, video links, whatever you'd like @liminetics.com on Bluesky!
