We’re excited to announce the release of Patch 1.0.1 for Big Helmet Heroes on PC!

This update brings several key changes, including a highly requested feature: support for both keyboard + mouse and gamepad simultaneously! Now, Player 1 can enjoy the game with their keyboard and mouse while Player 2 joins the action using a gamepad. We hope this makes your co-op experience even more fun and flexible! 🎮

But that’s not all! This patch also includes a variety of other bug fixes and improvements to ensure a smoother experience. Thank you for your continued support guys!

  • Add support for keyboard + gamepad : you can now play with one controller for the player 2 and the keyboard and mouse for the player 1 (PC VERSION)
  • Add native support for dualsense (PS5) and dualshock (PS4) controller (PC VERSION)
  • Add some visual feedback when you can’t use your superpower
  • Add confirmation pop-up on multiple spots to avoid missclick
  • Readjust size of apple collider to make it easier to pick up
  • Add a visual effect when unlocking puzzle cage
  • Add a visual check icon on the cage that you already found
  • Fix issues related to checkpoint, enemies should respond correctly if you restart the game from a checkpoint
  • Fix issues when respawning in co-op making the camera go to some weird location
  • Fix Steamdeck loading screen cutoff on some resolution
  • Fix cutscene stretching on some resolution
  • Fix Multispecter: the specter shouldn’t hit the player anymore
  • Fix issues where the player couldn’t attack anymore after a slide
  • Fix issues where the input of superpower was displayed in an area where it’s impossible to trigger a power
  • Fix issues where the enemy character doesn’t rotate correctly when receiving a hit
  • Fix issues where the screen after the level 5 was not at the good opacity
  • Fix issues where the player can be stuck in the ground during a hit by the scorpio boss (runner phase)
  • Fix issues where selecting random heroes in exalted mode give to the player 2 heroes instead of one
  • Fix issue where the player could stay in fire forever if they get hit by a frozen effect right after
  • Fix issue where the player could stay in frozen effect if they get hit by a fire effect right after
  • Fix input not activated after restarting level if you die when you fall out of the map
  • Fix 2 players getting same puzzle piece (and same weapon or projectile item) at the same time which was blocking the player in a holding position without having the object in hand, now prevent coop player from grabbing player during a take/grab/throw action and player is uninterruptible when holding a puzzle piece
  • Fix issues where distance weapons have unlimited ammos after restarting from a checkpoint
  • Fix issues where weapons and shield didn’t dissolve during enemies death
  • Fix issues during giant superpower, the player wasn’t invulnerable in some cases
  • Fix issues in level 13 - a little scorpion staying stuck in one arena avoiding the player to continue
  • Fix issues with stamina and apple pick-up sound wasn’t playing due to issues with sound spatialisation
  • Fix a crash that can happen when the player shoots with a distance weapon and takes another weapon at the same time
