Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since our last update!

We originally had no plans to update Just Deserts further, but we recently had the opportunity to make a few small improvements before moving on to our next games.

One of the biggest pain points (even for us!) has been the battle animations. Waiting for every attack move to play out can be frustrating, so we decided to add a fast-forward button to speed up combat!

Our initial idea was to allow players to speed up animations by holding down a button. However, since Just Deserts was built using Ren'Py— which isn’t optimized for battle systems— we ran into some implementation challenges. In the end, we settled on adding a toggleable animation speed button on the combat dashboard instead.



If you've played Just Deserts before, now you can speedrun the game and complete all the endings in no time!

Additionally, we’ve fixed a bug that caused the game to crash if a player didn’t select a target while using a heroine’s support move.
