I Can Feel The Fire
Colonists now have more natural reactions to fire. They will take notice of it sooner, run from it and try to avoid running past it for less life-threatening needs and situations. The flashpoints of clothing and skin have been tweaked for a more accurate reaction to extreme heat and flames. They are still flammable, but are no longer... inflammable.
Colonists can now be burnt by fire without it killing them, and can suffer from various levels of burn injuries when exposed to high temperate. Lesser burns will need a trip to medical, and worse ones will result in an extended stay.

Pathfinding, equipment placement and AI tweaks.
The way colonists navigate your bases has been adjusted to allow for them to move more efficiently through your base. They can fit into smaller spaces and pass objects more easily, reducing the chances for AI lock ups in congested layouts. Pathfinding has also been optimised for better CPU performance.
Object placement has been adjusted to warn of problematic layouts, bad paths and objects being blocked by new equipment being placed. Nearby built objects will show their interaction points when placing new items, so you'll know when your placements are optimal.
Save changes
This update also brings a new save system to the game along with support for Steam Cloud saves. On Windows the save folder has been moved out of My Documents to AppData to be more compliant with modern OS standards. Old saves will be automatically backed up, upgraded and moved when you open the game.
Other changes:
- Research computers now give better feedback of when all possible research is completed.
- Fixed rare crashes when clicking on dogs that were in the middle of finding something to do.
- Chicken AI code optimised and cleaned up.
- Chickens will now hunt and eat insects they see inside your base.
- Colonists with surface walking skill walk are even faster now when wearing a surface suit.
- Colonists and some other creatures no longer think that some species of aliens are dead when they are just sleeping, which was breaking pathfinding.
- Various parts of the AI code have been cleaned up to reduce hitching and instability.
- Fix for a soft lock in the tutorial caused by a player deleting the rooms in their base.
- Updates for stability and performance on new hardware and OSes.
