Patch Notes


Summary

  • Made quest grinding less tedious, streamlined the Buddy Shop experience, and fixed broken survivor abilities.

Quests

Changes

  • Rebalanced quest rewards to favor higher payouts. Quests should now pay more appropriately depending on the time limit and objective.

Buddy Shop

Changes

  • Menu layout of the Buddy Shop has been updated to create a more streamlined experience.
  • Removed the Buddy Loadout toggle due to the process not being well designed.
  • Unlocking characters in the Buddy Shop now automatically applies changes made.
  • Increased HP cost from 2000 to 5000.
  • Increased SPD cost from 2000 to 5000.
  • Added refund options for HP and SPD purchases.
  • Changed icons for ability and weapon purchase buttons to reflect a more general appearance.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that would allow players to purchase a survivor’s ability even when the ability was already unlocked.

Combat

Balancing

  • Increased Hunter’s ability duration from 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Increased Robot’s ability duration from 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Decreased Valkyrie’s ability recharge from 15 to 10 seconds.
  • Increased Valkyrie’s ability duration from 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Increased Witchy’s ability duration from 5 to 7 seconds.
  • Increased Witchy’s ability recharge from 5 to 7 seconds.

Changes

  • Added an aura to Dragon’s ability that deals burn damage to enemies that get too close.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug relating to Super Weapon cooldowns not starting at the correct time.
  • Fixed the Zap Sword recharge and duration values being incorrect when picked up by players.

QoL

Changes

  • Renamed Super Weapon Shop to Super Weapon Recipe Shop to reflect purpose more clearly.
  • Added required weapon levels to super weapon recipe screens for better clarification.
  • Added keyboard shortcuts to character select screen for changing character costumes.
  • Added controller button layout section to Options screen.
  • Added opacity settings for player projectiles, dropped items, and HUD.

Audio

Changes

  • Added limiters to combat sound sources so that players’ ears will hopefully not get blown out.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that would occur in the character select screen where highlighting an unlocked character would cause the menu sound to play twice.

Misc

Changes

  • Added an achievement sync check for players continuing from demo data.
  • Added better credits in the Credits screen.
  • Added Delete Local Achievements button to the Data tab in the Options screen.
  • Added Delete Steam Achievements button to the Data tab in the Options screen.
  • Added money abbreviations to save space where player money values are displayed when displaying large numbers.

Dev Notes

So many small things stacked up and definitely needed to be addressed. Thank you all for the feedback! I hope these changes make for a better experience as a smol survivor and game.
