Hello everyone! This took a bit more then I expected, some changes and some new stuff. Let me know what you think!
-Wave time reduced from 30 to 20 seconds.
I think the game was feeling a bit too long and dragging out at times, so this change should make it more fast paced.
Basically 30 seconds worth of enemy spawns in 20 seconds now, so I increased all of the weapons dps to compensate.
This change shortens the total run by 8 minutes approximately.
-New item system.
You can recycle your items for reagents and craft new items or upgrade your existing ones now.
Added set items and unique items.
They don't drop from enemies directly, but instead enemies drop unique/set tokens which you can use to craft unique/set items in your base.
I made it so you can choose which item you get since they have a low drop rate.
Added storage space for items in base.
This whole system is a bit barebone and I will add more features and balance it in future patches.
-New item theme.
I changed the theme of items to mecha parts instead of clothing.
Made 78 new item icons, although I'll continue working on them to add more color and variety, I think they fit better with the game's look.
-Chest
New point of interest on the map that drops items.
-Ultrawide monitor support
This feature asked by many people so here it is, but I didn't get the chance to test it on a ultrawide screen.
So if there is a problem you see please let me know.
-Added ne stats. Leech Chance, Leech Power and Luck.
-Lowered the overall bloom effect, and turned downed the emission of some materials to make it a bit more easy on the eyes.
-Balances
Elite mobs have more health and speed now.
Increased range mobs projectile speed.
Reduced Mortar Ion Ring's flame count rarity upgrades. { 0, 2, 4, 8, 16 } => { 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 }
Reduced Dualsaber radius upgrades. { 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 } => { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 }
-Roadmap
After this patch I will be working on fixing, balancing and polishing until February Steam Nextfest.
Which I will be participating with this alpha version of the game as a demo.
After the Nextfest I will be focusing on getting the game ready for the Early Access.
My goal is to get it ready until the Summer. We can say late Q1 2025.
I'm planning to add more bosses, weapons, mechas, artifacts and maybe some new mechanics regarding weapon combos.
And I want to upgrade or change some of the assets to achieve a more cohesive game look, its a bit all over the place right now.
Between Nextfest and Early Access period I don't think there will be much update to the Demo.
But I want to playtest the game just before launching Early Access so there will be a couple of weeks for you the test it before hand.
There are so many things planned for 2025!
I really hope it will go well and the game will be in a good shape.
