First of all, thank you all for continuing to be very supportive of the project and creating such a fantastic community.The community means everything to me, which is why I’ve worked tirelessly to include many of the features you’ve been asking for in this update. I truly hope this makes the game even more enjoyable for you, and I can’t wait to bring you even more improvements in future updates as we march toward the full release! 😊
Below is the list with all the content of this update:
New features/content:
- Egyptian Campaign (9 missions, all featuring secondary objectives and bonus systems)
- Updated Wall System:
- Walls now require entrances to station units on them
- Unit placement on walls has been improved to allow proper defense building
- Units no longer dismount from walls when moved along them (unless there's no available placement space)
- Pathfinding for wall climbing now works as intended
- Sieges with ladders or siege towers against enemy walls function correctly
- Unit Pathfinding for siege equipment like ladders and towers is now optimized
- AI now builds entrances into walls
- AI now uses walls defensively during sieges and positions units properly (future updates will enhance AI's defensive and siege strategies)
- Unit collisions on walls have been optimized
- Maps:
- New Conquest/Domination Mode Map: (2) Honest Duel
- Reworked and Balanced Maps:
- (2) The Liberation of Sparta
- (2) Rebellion in Egypt
- (2) Hero Path
(All maps will receive reworks and balancing in future updates to ensure perfection.)
- Unit Colision & Formation System:
- Better Unit Collision System
- Enhanced Formation System (Formations now perform better with large groups of units)
- Improved Unit Handling System (Better responsiveness and control when managing large groups of units)
- Workshop Enhancements:
- Added Automatic Image Upload System for item previews in the Workshop (Uploaded or updated maps now generate preview images without user input)
- Users can now upload custom preview images for Workshop items (Use "steampreview.png" in the created map folder)
- Default minimaps are now displayed in-game menus if no custom minimap is provided
- Fixed Minimaps in Editor (No longer displays a minimap from a previously loaded map in menus)
- FPS Optimization for High-Unit-Count Scenarios (Performance boost of 10-20% depending on PC specs)
- Improved Unit Pathfinding
- Added Full Russian Voice Localization
- Enhanced AI Unit Production System (AI now produces units more intelligently)
- AI now chooses war vehicles and animals more effectively
- AI now builds siege towers when necessary
- Added Option in Map Editor to place entrances on wall nodes and towers
- Removed Mercenaries from Garrisons
- Added Missing Capture Animations for all units
- Added Victory Sound when completing campaigns
- Improvements to Some Creep Units in Conquest/Domination Mode maps
Bug/Error Correction:
- Multiplayer Fixes:
- Resolved All Multiplayer Desync Triggers in Conquest/Domination Mode (Multiplayer is now fully stable across all maps except Naval Ones)
- Fixed All Desync Triggers for Republican Rome (All civilizations except Imperial Rome are now multiplayer-ready)
- Fixed Arena Multiplayer Bug in Republican Rome (Prevented players from repeatedly recruiting mercenary templates with fast clicks)
- Fixed Bug in Mercenary Camp in Conquest/Domination Mode (Previously prevented the building from being assigned to the player)
- Fixed Bug in Certain Heroes that incorrectly applied an oversized health multiplier when leveling up
- Fixed Text Glitches (Symbols like "??" no longer appear in all languages)
- Fixed Reported Bugs from the Persian Campaign
- Fixed Secondary Quest Activation Bug in Spartan Campaign’s first mission (Players can now obtain the 7 stars)
- Fixed Persian Campaign Mission 3 Bug (Spartan troops now correctly spawn on triremes, and enemy obelisks use their special abilities)
- Fixed Hero Combat Spell for Marcus Aurelius (Now functions correctly, including its unique projectile effect)
- Fixed Worker Command Display Bug for Support Units
Balance:
- Balanced Wall Construction Cost and Time (Walls are now more practical and useful in gameplay)
- Balanced Fire Catapult Damage for triremes and added a unique fire projectile model when researching Greek Fire
- Balanced Siege Tower Costs
