Lots of new features for this update.

BOTS & SPAWNERS HAVE HEALTH BARS
Players can now see how much damage a bot has taken and how much health it has left.

CUSTOMIZABLE CHARACTER COLOUR
12 colours to choose from. Player health bars, dead player ragdolls and player spawnable turrets will match the selected colour.

IMPROVED BOT SPAWNER DEFENSES
Bot Spawners will now detect if a player is in close range and emit a plasma shock wave to damage and repel the player. These shockwaves can also damage nearby bots, allowing the player to trigger them tactically. Frequency of shockwaves adjusts to player difficulty level.
Shockwave graphic and sound effect added.
Spawner defensive guns will now only rotate to face player if the spawner has recently taken significant damage. Use tactical retreats to trick spawners into switching off their targeting system.

PRIMARY PLAYER TURRETS HAVE A.I.
Player spawned turrets now act independently, targeting and shooting enemies in range (including vertically for taking down flying enemies or enemies on higher or lower platforms). These are now now a powerful weapon. In PvP mode they target all players other than the player who spawned it.

DEAD PLAYERS SPAWN A TURRET
Brought back this feature from early in the game development, but updated. If a player dies and other players are doing battle the dead player ragdoll will spawn a turret. In PvP mode this turret will target all remaining players, becoming an additional hazard in their battle. In PvBots mode the spawned turret will assist the remaining players by targeting bots.

SECONDARY PLAYER TURRETS IMPROVED
The alternate player turrets (launched in Aim Mode then dragged by the player for aiming) now have a wider spread of bullets, making them much more useful in combat. They now also auto detect whether the player has moved into position to take control of their movement, generating a harness around the player, plus red light indicators.

BOT ARENAS 1, 3 & 7 EXPANDED
Additional room layouts with new graphical features.

NO RETREAT
In PvBots mode each room will automatically block off the exit to the previous rooms. Prevents players from easily escaping to recover health, ammo and weapon pick-ups. Also stops bots from randomly wandering off into previous rooms.

EXIT INDICATORS
After clearing a room in PvBots mode, an arrow indicator will point the way to the next room.

BOT WALL DETECTION BEFORE SHOOTING
Most bots (and spawners) now use a twice per second ray cast function to detect obstacles directly ahead of them. While an obstacle is detected the bot will be unable to shoot. Prevents bots shooting repeatedly against walls directly in front of them and fixes a bug where bots were able to shoot through walls at extremely close range. (path finding will be a priority for the next game updates)

GRAPHICAL IMPROVEMENTS
  • New textures and environmental architecture added to some Bot Arenas.
  • Spawnable turret model improved.
  • Player arrow changed to a coloured ring with small directional arrow pointer, as found in many top-down co-op games. Player can toggle the ring on / off by pressing down on the D-pad. These also switch off in dark arenas if the player switches off their flashlight.
  • Player health bars have a thin white border extending up to the 100% full mark. Easier to tell, at a glance, how much health they a player has in relation to full capacity.
  • New lighting visual effect added to all bot spawns.
  • New UI pics added to menus for Bot Arenas 1, 2, 3, 4 & 7.

NEW MUSIC ADDED
One new piece of music and five new remixes of existing music.

MINOR CHANGES & BUG FIXES
  • Enemy version of player spawnable turrets added to game and placed in some arenas. Watch out for them. They can target you from below or above.
  • Spiders are less jumpy. Previously their wall climbing and leaping caused them to hover in the air a lot. They’re now more frequently grounded.
  • Inflatable bombs can now explode upon touching an enemy (with a half second delay fuse after being fired).
  • Regular grenades have a shorter fuse and cause a larger explosion.
  • Player ammo increased by 30%.
  • When player enters shimmy mode for slipping through tight spaces, their movement speed wasn’t slowing down (fixed).
  • Starburst weapon in aim mode was sometimes causing wide firing of directional fireworks immediately after being fired (fixed).
  • Starburst aim mode and inflatable bombs sound fix (they don’t drown out audio channels any more).
  • Hover board weapon cool down added.
  • Reduced all player health in PvP matches. Was too high before.
  • Rotating architecture elements were freezing in place and not rotating (fixed).
