Hello commanders, how's Season 2 of Mechabellum going for you? Today we would like to address the balance of Raiden. The current performance of the new Raiden is strong, but some players are also finding ways to counter it. In the three tournaments over the weekend, Raiden users won the Asian tournament, while non-Raiden users won the European and American tournaments. This balance patch aims to nerf Raiden's efficiency against small and large units while maintaining its dominance against medium-sized units.
Balance Adjustments
Raiden
- Attack interval increased from 4.2 seconds to 4.6 seconds (DPS decreased by 8.7%).
Developer's note: The decrease in attack speed will make Raiden less efficient against small units, and the decrease in DPS will also reduce Raiden's performance against high HP units.
- The price of [Chain] increased from 250 to 300.
- [Chain] no longer jumps to buildings.
- [Chain]'s damage after the jump decreased from 30% to 25% (meaning jump damage no longer kills Phoenixes of the same rank).
Developer's note: The adjusted [Chain] can no longer damage buildings, and it is now also a lower threat to targets such as Marksman and Phoenix. This change also helps differentiate [Chain] from [Fork] more.
- The price of [Electromagnetic Shot] increased from 200 to 300.
Developer's note: [Electromagnetic Shot] has performed exceptionally well in the past few days, so we have decided to increase its price.
- The price of [Ionization] decreased from 200 to 100.
Developer's note: [Ionization] significantly weakens Raiden's performance against medium-sized units, while enhancing its performance against giant units. This Tech was rarely used in the last patch, and we hope to increase its use rate a bit.
- The price of the [Fork] decreased from 300 to 250.
Phoenix
- The resurrection time of Quantum Reassembly has been adjusted from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.
Other
- Optimized the SFX of Sabertooth.
Bugfixes
- Fixed the issue where Raiden's [Chain] would hit cloaked Phantom Rays.
