Operation: Breaking Whisper

The captured operatives have been found on a remote island off the coast of Guam. Before our drone was shot down, intel showed that the island was being used to store the enemy's weapons.

Mission Objectives:
• Recover the Crashed Drone Intel
• Extract the Drone Intel
• Rescue and Secure all Hostages
• Search for and Destroy the Weapons Cache
• EXFILTRATE


What was originally designed as the first iteration of Trident Lightning (TL) has been repurposed and redesigned as an entirely new mission.

Guys, I could not get the original TL island + mansion to run on stand-alone headsets. It was too taxing on stand-alone hardware. So the island was scrapped entirely and we were left with the current TL road and mansion. Then Hammer Fire was released and I was set to push the full TL island on PCVR only. But that sucked! Everyone agreed that idea sucked! Stand-alone players shouldn't be left behind! So they kicked me back down into my hole, chained me up, lowered me some scraps and I got to work.

Thanks to some internal suggestions from 2080 Games and with the help of our private group of Discord community testers, the entire island was redesigned, revamped, optimized, and can now be played by everybody!

I said this about Hammer Fire, but here we are again. Breaking Whisper boasts the highest enemy count of any mission in the game and is the most-action-packed mission, yet!

Coop Shootout Mode:

Turn your brain off and take on waves of enemies with your friends!
Finally, as promised a very long time ago, Shootout mode is now available in multiplayer Coop! Up to 6 players on stand-alone and 8 players on PCVR can light up the streets of TAVR. There's only one map for now, the original Urban street map. But more shootout maps are planned to be released in future updates.

Enemy Ai and Hostage Improvements:

A lot of you hated that enemy ai could deflect bullets with their weapons which resulted in frustrating engagements. Welp, that feature has been removed. The result though was that the game got too easy. To balance that out, enemy reaction time and accuracy have been increased. Oh, and they pie around corners now, too. Good luck.

Hostages will now become enemy targets after you've triggered them to follow. Please, protect Eduardo at all cost! He's a sensitive fella with lowered health. Oh, and maybe you can LARP as his brother, Antonio, too (found within Avatar Customization).

Map Drawing:

Bring out your inner Picasso with the brand-new map drawing feature! Found in the Main Menu and Training Lobby briefing room. Just, please, no cucumbers and cherrys...please. Oh no....

Known Issues:
• Multiplayer Breaking Whisper boat infiltration. Avatars can and will get stacked on top of each other
• Shotgun shells cannot be placed back into pouches after they have been taken from a pouch
• SPAS currently only has pump-action and cannot be switched to semi-auto
