The Nudge ability can be used to bump the ball based on the input direction. Use it to save the ball when it's falling down between the flippers, or to help steer the ball where you want it to go. The Nudge ability is not required for any of the challenges in Pinball Spire but it can still help you along your journey!
Like the other abilities, nudging consumes a small amount of mana. Unlike the other abilities it also has a limited number of uses at a given time. You can use the Nudge three times in a row. These uses recharge automatically on a quick cooldown which is displayed on the icon in the HUD.
This update introduces new keyboard and gamepad controls so please double-check your bindings if you made any changes.
Patch notes:
- Added a new Nudge ability.
- Added a new room to introduce the Nudge ability, just before exiting the Catacombs at the beginning of the game.
- When loading an existing save file the Nudge ability is automatically unlocked. When starting a new game the ability needs to be collected in the new room.
- The new ability is mapped to the Left Stick on gamepads and keys QWEX on keyboard.
- These new inputs can be customized in the Control Bindings menu.
- The default binding for the Scouter ability has changed for gamepad controls and moved from L3 to R3. It can be rebound to L3 in the menu if you prefer.
- Added a Nudge Strength setting to the Game Tuning menu.
- Added a mechanic to replenish some mana if the ball is stuck without enough mana for nudging.
