Hi!
What I found that many people actually don't like ASCII feature of this game (like '@' is you and 'B' is a bat...)! What a shame... this is how classic roguelike games were made back in the days when "roguelike" meant to be like "Rogue" game, not fast action game with perma death. Ok, maybe it is just old fart mumbling (no).
Anyway, I did update and now you and all creatures in the game are images, not symbols. Yay!
I hope it is better now - personally I think it is :)
