A new update has just been released, bringing exciting changes and improvements to VR Tribes! Here’s what’s new:

Gameplay

• Improved „default“ balancing across all maps.
  
• Customizable gameplay settings: The VR player can now adjust settings like:
  
  • Health for Meteor (VR) and Tribes (PC)
    
  • Ammo for the VR player’s gun
    
  • Power of the laser eyes
    
  
  
• Exploding platforms: Most maps now include platforms that explode when reached by a Tribe player.
  
• Redesigned the “Meteor’s Galaxy” map for a better experience.
  
• Fixed various bugs (UI and gameplay)
  
• Groht’s walls now auto-destroy after a certain time.
  
• Adjusted Maka’s clone behavior for more confusion.
  
• Made Bay’s hiding ability more noticeable for the VR player.
  
• Groht’s weight increased: The impact from thrown meteors is now less effective on Groht compared to other Tribes.
  

Cross Platform

• Epic Online Services (EOS) is now implemented, enabling seamless cross-platform play.
  
• VR Tribes is soon a standalone experience on Meta Quest 2 and 3.
  
• Play together across Steam (PC), Android (tablet, phone), and Meta Quest.
  
• iOS support is coming soon!
  

Graphics
Optimized graphics-intensive shaders to provide a similar visual quality to the standalone Meta Quest version.

Privacy Update
VR Tribes now uses Epic Online Services (EOS) to enable cross-platform multiplayer functionality on platforms like Steam, Android, Meta Quest, and iOS.
You don’t need an Epic Games account, as VR Tribes will use either your active account (e.g., Steam, Meta) or your device ID. Through EOS, we provide a cross-platform login system.

What data is processed?

• Personal data such as your username, account information, and online status is collected and processed by Epic Games, Inc. to enable these services.
  
• If required, data may be shared with authorities to comply with legal obligations.
  
• Your data may be stored and processed outside the EU, including in the USA.
