Hello dear survivors! We have another update for you!

You know why? Because we always got to try! Update 'till you die!

As always, you can access this version by right clicking on TLD in Steam, select properties, then select betas, then select the upcoming version test.

V2024.10.10_test:

  • Added cacti, rocks and such!
  • Draw Distance Setting Works Again
  • Removed Distant Terrain Setting, now its On if the Draw Distance is not Minimum
  • Tumbleweed only spawns in the desert
  • Fixed wells' hole being next to it when not spawned next to a building
  • Heathaze at the edge of nearby objects maybe a bit better
  • Fixed buildings not saving their state if you go very very far and save-load twice
  • Removed distance limit from F4 Drop Cam
  • Fixed F4 Drop Cam getting destroyed if a car it's parented to is destroyed
  • Slapped some try-catch in the save part of the code, so maybe saving will work even if there is an error

V2024.10.07_test:

  • Physics Lock now works in trunks and such even with opened or missing trunk
  • [*] With the Developer Menu it is now possible to bring cars from different saves:

    1. Look at a car
    2. Open Developer Menu (F1 if it's Enabled in Settings/Misc)
    3. Click the Floppy Icon on the right, it will switch tabs
    4. Click Save Car button


    It gets Saved with all it's Parts, things that are Attached to it
    and Physics Locked Items.

    V2024.10.05_test:

    • Added "main" road with poles on it's right side
    • Parts mount, dismount are now smoothed
    • Fixed some parts snapping close at dismount
    • Fixed 2 Terrain hole cutting bugs
    • Bacon option in dev menu now shows the building beacons again
      (though they are not bacons anymore :( because of practical reasons)
    • It also shows other players and their distances
    • Fixed multiplayer menu appearing when it shouldn't
      while naming a save and pressing it's button
    • Fixed smaller "buildings" like phone booths and toilets
      floating or being underground


    V2024.10.03_test:

    • Fixed item disappearing when going far away and back
      (Helps with multiplayer too)
    • Basements are back, so the game has depth again
    • Fixed one case of not being able to save
    • Fixed some dev menu thing showing when it is disabled


    V2024.10.02d_test:

    • Better Terrain Performance
    • Better Multiplayer Performance
    • Synced player step sounds
    • Can unfocus multiplayer window by mouse click somewhere else
      (so now it is possible to keep it open while playing)
    • Added button to dev menu to remove all unspawned items
      (which are not spawned because they are far away)


    V2024.10.01e_test:

    • Fixed some Physics lock - Mounted item sync error
    • Fixed some attachable loading bug
    • Added Clear Chat button to multiplayer settings


    V2024.10.01c_test:

    Fixed Physics locked items not really UnPhysicsLocking when picked up

    V2024.10.01b_test:

    • Fixed save-load while sitting
    • Physics locked stuff save-load works again
    • Fixed items attached to buildings moving their center
      to their attach points on save-load
    • Fixed sitting sync at buildings
    • Fixed two cases of ear ringing
    • Fixed some log stuff
    • Clients can now delete items
    • Fixed Car09 paint selection in dev menu
    • Added console checkbox, so you can hide it
      when the too many error messages cause performace issues in the dev menu
