Update notes via Steam Community
Brazil Fencing Club has been updated with the following changes:

  • Added controller haptics feedback for blade contact and menu selections.
  • Added two new more complex practice opponents: one left-handed and one right-handed.
  • Your opponent will now match your position on the width of the fencing piste.
  • The default pistol grip foil now has a more detailed blade with wire groove, tip tape, and proper tip.

New Weapons:

Added several new weapon models that can be earned by winning competition bouts:

  • A French grip foil
  • An Italian grip foil
  • A French grip figure-eight foil
  • A saber (the modern fencing kind)
  • A French grip épée
  • A pistol grip épée

Note: Despite the addition of épées and a saber, this remains a foil fencing game.

Weapon Selection:

Once earned, your weapons can be changed by selecting them from the wooden weapon stands on the back wall while the game is displaying the selection menu at the end of the opponent's side of the strip.

Footwork Speed Adjustment:

The controller footwork speed has been adjusted to match your real footwork speed. You will now need to advance and retreat on the fencing piste while the game times you.

Weapon/VR Controller Offset Adjustment:

You can now adjust your weapon/VR controller offset for multiple purposes:

  • Adjust weapon/hand placement and rotation to your liking.
  • Use a real fencing grip attachment with your controller. (Note: We do not sell these attachments; you will need to build one yourself.)
  • Pommel a French grip like an épéeist.

New Settings:

  • Enable blade glow for priority (right-of-way) when fencing.
  • Lock out controller rotating/turning while fencing for better control.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where the bend of the blade started behind the guard when canting your blade.
  • Warmup lesson not working due to player's onguard position too high or too low.
    Opponent's overreaching with disengage.
