Hey all! 👋 Today, we have rolled out Patch 1 for Thalassa: Edge of the Abyss. Our first patch contains adjustments to Thalassa's audio mix, fixes to a handful of community-reported bugs and more!

Since our launch, we have been listening to community feedback surrounding voice over audio levels and audio balancing. With Patch 1, we've implemented multiple adjustments and improvements towards the audio in Thalassa: Edge of the Abyss.

We hope this patch makes for a more enjoyable journey in the deep! 🌊

🛠️ Patch 1 - Patch Notes

Adjustments

• Multiple enhancements to the audio mix, including:
  
  
  • An increase in the volume of voice overs and music, for audio balancing.
    
  • Lowering the muffled effect on several voice lines.
    
  • Lowering of the conclusion sound effect during mystery solving.
    
  • Smoothing dialogue lines to remove audio jumps during specific dialogue.
    
  • Adjustments to dialogue to remove audio stutters during scenes with Alex.
    
  • Adjustments to Kadri’s signing to prevent dialogue overlaps and incorrect timings.
    
  • Other audio balances and improvements.
  
  
• Localisation adjustments, including:
  
  
  • Adding updated Norwegian translations.
    
  • Adjustments to the naming of ‘Expedition Display’ in Russian localisation.
    
  • Other localisation adjustments.
    
  
  
• Secret visuals added near the cradle.
  
• Adjustments to the outside area near Thomas’ cabin with a vertical beam barrier added.
  
• Updated credits.
  

Fixes

• Visual optimisations during Bailey’s boat scenes.
  
• Implementation of a backup restore for the Master Key item in case the game saved after this item was lost.
  
• Fixed an audio reverb issue for specific voice lines during two separate scenes, one with Maria & Isabel and one with Erik & Kaymar.
  
• Fixed an issue where a voice line for Alex would be occasionally missing.
  
• Fixed an issue with Thomas & Erik’s voice lines to prevent occasional audio duplication.
