Thanks for trying out RJC update v0.6.2! After releasing it you all informed me of many terrible mistakes I made in the matrix that is the games code. In exchange here is a patch to solve a few problems as well as update a few maps

Maps

LavaTower - NEW MAP

  • This map was previously an extra path in LavaTemple and has been moved to its own level
  • The platforming has all been changed to make it more interesting
  • This level utilizes Jump pads

LavaTemple

  • The Tower path has been split off into a new rift known as LavaTower
  • The previous left path has been consolidated with the Tomb path
  • Tomb path has been extended to be more challenging
  • Added a breakable wall to tomb path
  • Middle path has been updated to have more interesting platforming
  • Added some walls you can shoot with your rockets

Underground

  • Blocked off the side path as it was not really worth going to
  • Improved the ground material quality

Outlands

  • Updated skybox
  • Updated lighting to be less flat
  • Changed design of the land

SewerTown

  • Replaced placeholder houses with more fitting ones
  • Updated pathing slightly and repositioned dash pickups

Necropolis

  • Improved quality ground material (cause im stupid)

Upward

  • Changed textures of objects in area

HubMap

  • Updated SPAAAACEEEE skybox
  • The Hub ship has been redesigned with a new layout


Changes

  • Added a Extras tab to the settings menu
  • Added FOV Slider to Extras menu
  • Added hide viewmodel to Extras menu (for die hard TF2 players)

  • Changed input menu to automatically switch to the controller/mouse and keyboard screen depending on which input you are using (was confusing to see MnK settings while you are using controller)
  • Refactored how mouse sensitvity is calculated - allow entering a custom sens value

📝The way sens was calculated leaded to even the slowest sens being alot faster than expected so it has been tweaked and the slider now scales much lower and higher
  • Overhauled the look of Boost Ramps

  • Lighting pass has been made on all areas to help improve the look(let me know what you think)
  • Added a return to hub button on the deathscreen
  • Tweaked the highlighting when hovering menu buttons
  • Added a Tiers to each map in the level select

📝Tiers are intended to be a way to gauge the difficulty of the level you are entering- levels that are far too easy or difficult are planned to be reworked to match that tier. - similar to surf and bhop games

Fixes

  • Fixed the saved sensitivity not being utilized(it was always 1.0 sens)
  • Fixed the sensitivity slider not automatically updating its value in the menu
  • Fixed sens slider not properly applying to controllers
  • Fixed runtime error when launching from a Nokia 3310
  • Fixed bug with boost ramps not always launching you the expected way
  • Fixed Pause defaulting to the Share button instead of Start
  • Fixed Crouch defaulting to alt instead of ctrl
  • Fixed audio starting loud on level load
