It’s been a while since we’ve updated Lawbringer. We’ve been working on some promising new stuff and we’re anxious to show you what’s next in store for us. But Lawbringer needs some love and attention too, as we feel there’s still a few things we could add or improve.
This update is all about quality of life and fixes. Here’s the changelog:
Gameplay changes and additions
- Clash detection is now much more forgiving and predictable. There should be fewer instances of player taking damage after clashing with an enemy. This should also provide greater control over triggering Clash related Perks, such as Clusterflak or Flash of Light.
- Added an input buffer for major actions. This prevents mistiming of control inputs and adds some leeway to player’s attack rhythm.
- Added a setting for attacking towards the mouse cursor when playing on mouse and keyboard. With this setting on, the cursor is always visible. This should give the M&K players a bit more control, as melee attacks are no tied to movement orientation.
- Added in-world floating damage numbers when dealing damage to enemies. This should provide a better visibility into the effectiveness of builds. This option is turned on by default, but can be switched off in the Settings menu.
- Added contextual in-world health and stamina bars for the player, making it easier to track your status while fighting. On by default, but can be turned off in the Settings menu.
- Added a large timer warning when the timer is almost depleted (Deadly Timer only).
- Increased stamina gain from Perks.
Fixes
- Fixed damage scaling and stamina cost issues with Bruiser, Swordsmith and Reave Perks.
- Fixed a visual bug with the rotation of the gun.
- Fixed a cursor visibility issue when switching between menus and gameplay.
Menus
- Added settings for the new mechanics and UI additions.
- Added a link to our Discord server on the main page
That’s it for now! We have a plan for at least a couple of more updates, but the new thing is taking most of our time, so it might be a while. Stay tuned!
