Been a little bit since the last update, but got some new bug fixes! The new fixes are:
- Fixed a bug where hunger, health and cold could still deplete while intro screen was showing
- Fixed a bug that caused music to overlap in certain situations
- Fixed a problem where standing on top of certain objects would cause the player to instantly die. Unfortunately a fix for this happening at all requires a fall damage overhaul, but as a stop gap measure I have prevented it from happening in the most prevalent locations
- Fixed a bug with the music system that caused certain tracks to play in very unfitting situations
- Fixed a bug that was causing stamina to not regenerate at the correct speed
- Fixed a bug in one of the caves that was frequently causing players to fall through the map
The next thing on my list is to overhaul the fall damage system, although I'll keep up with minor patches like this. This has been a problem since day 1 of Into the Wild, and is probably the largest thing holding the game back at the moment. What I'm planning to do is to completely rip out the old fall damage system and build a new one from scratch, so expect it to take a while, but know that I am working on it!
