Ever found yourself bragging to a friend about how great you are at turning vending machine items into weapons to slay demons, but you're unable to actually prove it? Well, now you can with 46 total achievements that can show just how skilled you are at vending machine runs!
- 45 achievements that test expert priests and easter-egg hunters alike
- A 46th achievement for those who proved themselves to be a master of all facets of fighting demons
Agency Content:
A major update wouldn't be major with just adding achievements, so to add more life to the park there are a lot of new mechanics in play. Player agency is important in games, and although rogue-likes have to have a good bit of luck, now you have many more ways to alter that luck! This demonic outbreak has recruited another new boss from the depths of the ocean to fight you with, but luckily you have several new weapons and allies at your disposal to help you fight it off!
- Content: A shady tent that might make your weapon stronger
- Content: A stray dog that you can recruit as a companion
- Content: A bar where you can buy strong one-time-use powerups
- Content: One or more challenge shrines that offer rewards along with great risks
- Content: Teleporters that connect once both are repaired
- Content: Choose from 1 of 7 powerful buffs each time you beat a boss
- New weapon: Righteous Rocketeer
- New weapon: Faithful Flamethrower
- New Boss: The Dredge
- New Item: Lime Juice
- New Item: Seven Up
- New Item: Liquid Death
General Updates:
Other aspects of the game have received additional love and polish. Lots of quality of life has been added from auto-aim to volume control to enemy health bars. Below is a list of all the smaller changes:
- Accessibility: Auto-aim is now available
- Seasonal: Default map is back to normal (Summer map can be accessed in Extras)
- Gameplay: Bosses appear every 8th wave. (To speed up gameplay)
- Balance: Start with 1 dash by default (for all you Dark Souls enthusiasts)
- Balance: Tweaks to costs of vending machine items
- Balance: Music path must be unlocked each run
- Balance: Dessert path must be unlocked each run
- Balance: Slight buffs to Shotgun and Pistol
- Balance: Imps now start with 2 HP
- Balance: Changes to reward money given by various enemies
- Balance: Tweaks to boss healths and reward money
- Balance: Vatican/Exorcist extra enemies no longer spawn on boss waves
- Balance: Less bosses initially spawn in Endless
- Balance: Nerf to Encore (Revive every 5 waves -> Revive every 10 waves)
- Content: Added more *gravitas* to final boss fight
- QOL: Reticle size increased on controllers
- QOL: Difficulty settings are remembered between runs
- QOL: Items that have reached max benefit are removed from the item pool (ex: 100% crit means no more ink)
- QOL: HUD displays how long until next boss
- QOL: Increased telegraphing from final boss as to which attack it will choose
- QOL: Volume button added to menu (hopefully no more eardrums will be broken)
- QOL: Choose how you want enemy HP to be displayed (number, health bar, or hidden until damaged). Can be found in Extras-Cosmetics
Bug FIxes:
Lastly, no update is complete without admitting that prior code had flaws:
- Bug Fix: Endless no longer skips Wave 41
- Bug Fix: Dashes properly give I-Frames and can no longer glitch the player into objects
- Bug Fix: Throwing a bomb on Controller no longer throws all bombs at once
- Bug Fix: Using a potion on Controller no longer uses all potions at once
- Bug Fix: Interest no longer breaks if you own more than 100%
- Bug Fix: Big bullets no longer disappear when standing against a wall (big bullet lovers rejoice!)
- Bug Fix: Ignis no longer spawns fire while the player is still in the shop
- Bug Fix: Having several damage multipliers now properly scale off of each other (ex, Tres Leches can crit)
- Bug Fix: I-Frames no longer persist between waves
- Bug Fix: Dying during Wendigo’s skull attack no longer can crash the game
- Bug Fix: Pickups now spawn on the wave that you buy them
- Bug Fix: Cap added to bullet speed to prevent softlocks
- Bug Fix: Mass buying Iced Coffee no longer will lag/crash game
- Bug Fix: Mass buying Spiked Lemonade no longer will lag/crash game
- Bug Fix: Mass buying Benedict Beer with Koolaid no longer will lag/crash game
