• Improved, more competitive AI: the AI will try to lure the player's tribes over to its side, destroy the player's reputation, and fight the player for dominance.

• Completely updated random event system: the consequences of player choices now have a much greater impact on gameplay;
  
• New combat units: submarines and aircraft carriers;
  
• A new dangerous automaton;
