The original plan was to release more updates leading up to the full release, but it ended up taking extra time to manage. I decided to just grind out all the planned content so there would be lots of new stuff to play with on release. Sorry it took so long!

Release Content

  • 14 pilots
  • 14 mechs (6 core designs and 8 extra variants)
  • 24 weapon upgrades
  • 16 mech upgrades
  • 18 weapons
  • 5 different maps
  • Each map has a unique weather hazard
  • An "Armechgeddon" map with randomized environment, weathers, bosses
  • 30 different enemy varieties
  • Some extra optimization and increased enemy counts
  • Graphical polish across the board
  • Added a parry mechanic to melee attacks, to protect your mech mid-melee

Post-Release

I expect to find some bugs, so post any problems you run into in the discussion boards, and expect a maintenance patch or two at some point.

I will be starting a new project now, but depending on Armechgeddon's performance and my availability, there are a few things on my list for the future. These aren't officially planned, but I'm hoping I can work on them some day:

  • Additional free content - especially some planned weapons that didn't make it
  • Upgrade to Godot 4
  • Switch port
  • Kaiju-themed DLC
