I also wanted to thank you for your patience. Floomy is an early access title which means it’s still being developed and improved over time. I know I haven’t updated the game since launch but that in no way means I haven’t been hard at work on it. I am developing a big update, which will add an entirely new zone with new critters, challenges, and environment.
A zone is typically only 5 levels long but this one will actually be longer. This particular zone, Crystal Quarry, will be tucked away as a secret for you to discover. This zone is the most ambitious area in the game so I will need a bit more time to polish it.
However, I made many bug fixes and stability improvements as I continued working on new content. As a result, I want players to benefit now from these improvements. This build reflects the work I’ve done to make Floomy a more polished experience.
I don’t have all the bugfixes listed here but I figured I’d mention a handful that have been fixed:
- Pausing during a boss fight didn’t pause its projectiles.
- Pressing Jump on a pink ghost with frame-perfect-timing caused the player to fall through.
- Several overlooked memory leaks.
- Flag could cause the victory sound effect to play twice.
- A certain mega gem is impossible to obtain within a specific level.
- Certain compatibility issues caused some visual assets to be miscolored.
Changed files in this update
