A patch of fixes, along with a couple Action system changes, Settings for Borderless mode, & Automatic Crash Reports. Stay tuned! Other fun stuff is coming.

Action Systems Changes & Tooltip Readability Improvements:

  • Some Actions have a static effect (eg: Inflict 1 Exposed), but based on how the Action tooltip used to read from top-to-bottom, the order in which effects would resolve were either inconsistent, or ambiguous. (this caused questions like: does it deal damage, THEN apply Exposed?)
  • Now, Actions with these static effects (and others, such as Centered and Trinity), will trigger these effects when the Action is played. This change affects many different Action interactions, made some Actions stronger, and made some weaker, but ultimately made the effects more consistent.
  • This hopefully should make understanding what an Action does easier!
  • This change did involve me painstakingly going through all 300 Actions. I did my own QA but I apologize if there are any mistakes I missed. I'll correct as quickly as I can if they are found!

New Settings:

  • New Setting allows for Automatic Crash Reports. If you enable this setting and the game crashes, relevant game information will be sent directly to me to help me fix it! Should have been a feature long ago, but I'm still new to this!
  • (Experimental) Resolution & Borderless Settings added. I am still trying to figure out some issues with booting the game in Windowed/Borderless mode if you have multiple displays, but any window displacement should correct itself once you arrive at the main menu.

Balance:

  • Fragile (Debuff) reverted - gain 50% > 25% less block
  • Pre-shield (Warrior Perk) Buffed - gain 1 > 2 Block at turn start

Enemy Balance:

  • Changed Golem Forms around. Ice Golem was replaced with a Poison Golem.
  • Reworked Diearies

Fixes:

  • Fixed Blocksmith perk giving an additional 5 Block when player has Sturdy
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes an Artifact / Action would not register as discovered when it was already mastered
  • Fixed a crash when upgrading specific Actions at turn end
  • Fixed Golems not all appearing in Bestiary
  • Altered Golem fight to not always contain one of each Golem
  • Fixed dungeon mist not being destroyed when re-entering the menu. This affects performance after a while
  • Fixed other code that affected game performance
  • Fixed Repress rolling a d4 and giving Block (unintended)
  • You can no longer grab Action Rewards when a Tutorial appears
    Visual:
  • Fixed d20's showing a result of 19 on the dice when rolling a 20
  • Fixed enemy Buffs/Debuffs appearing over Settings
  • Fixed a few other depth-related issues
  • Removed Legacy art for upgraded Actions on Rewards screen
  • Fixed some Action coloring inconsistencies
  • Added a bit of visual polish to a few different elements
  • Loading history…
