To help address issues discerning what a skill does when looking at the skill menu, we've added some symbols to skill icons to denote their primary function:
This is how Skills were previously displayed. Players needed to infer from the image what role the skill filled.
This is how Skills are now displayed. Each skill will have an icon on it that denotes the primary role of the skill.
The Skill icons break down as follows:
- Primary role of doing damage
- Primary role of healing
- Primary role of applying a buff
- Primary role of applying a debuff
- Primary role of supporting other players/skills
Through feedback, we understand that using Items in combat is confusing and players default to thinking that you need to use a command like "!use item" and miss the Inventory button listed on the skill menu in combat. In order to improve visibility of that button , we've changed it from a potion to a bag to help indicate that it gives access to your inventory. You can see the difference in the pictures showing the Skills getting role icons. Hopefully this will help indicate to players that using "!i" in combat will open up the items menu, which also has helpful text on how to use an item from that menu.
We will continue making improvements to help convey information to players as easily as possible.
