This update adds a new transition screen when players fall and greatly optimizes level 0 geometry. As well as fixes some odd issues. And adds some new stuff to pools and Level 0.

New Additions

  • Tube Slides may now take you to The Playgrounds or The Pools.
  • Falling transitions now load into a separate falling scene before landing players into a level. This eliminates crashes, helps with engine garbage collection. and gives rise to the opportunity for some fun new falling events in future updates.
  • Bottomless pools may be found.
  • Bottomless level 0 insanity event replaces vortex carpet in Cross Halls sections.
  • Vocal when using gateway.
  • added core hum sfx to gateway sphere

FIXES

  • Around 75% of all level 0 Geometry has now been optimized. This should result in higher framerates on all devices.
  • Fixed issue where drinking poison as soon as you pick it up would play the item collection voice twice.
  • Removed repetitive voice lines from certain areas when entering them.
  • Fixed desks and filing cabinets spawning twice in Electrics offices.
  • Fixed lab desk in Electrics office not spawning top section that was resulting in floating boxes.
  • Added colliders to Electrics room ceilings
  • Fixed a level segment in The Pipes that wasn't spawning properly
  • Reduced height of elevator reflection map volume that was spilling into adjacent areas in some cases.
  • Sensory overload ambient sounds that played on a certain level were not assigned to the audio mixer and thus did not adjust volume with the rest of the game. It is now assigned and its volume will be played at the same level as other sources of its type.
  • Shortened duration of Steam Jet damage triggers
  • When hitting next or previous on the Tape Player tapes will wrap correctly if on the newest or oldest tape.
  • Added focus disable triggers to some Insanity Insects that were missing them
  • Increased brightness of electricity emission
  • Changed reference in elevator lock script that incorrectrly enabled Electrics Key prompt to Elevator Key prompt
  • Areas surrounding the Hospital Starting point have no entities to avoid players dying too quickly after arriving into level.

The March updates will have more content.
Excited for the new levels, entities, and gear to come.
