Version 0.2.3 fixes the Leap Year bug, but the game is still playable even without the fix- you'd just jump to March 1. Since the game starts on September 21, it is highly unlikely a player would reach February 29 this early on without changing the date in Lakeland Town.
You also no longer need the Atlas to see the map in Lakeland Town, Lakeland Field or Lakeside Cliffs- South. It makes sense that the hero would already have some sort of map of his immediate surroundings. To see this map, press the M key on the keyboard.
