I decided a few weeks ago to make energy almost fully reliant on items. This was to make items more relevant, and basically force you to make use of them.
May be interesting for the deckbuilding aspect, but it was not great for the accessability of the game! I put a bunch of extra text in the tutorial just to explain items, and I believe it was a bit overwhelming. So, I've made you start with more energy by default, and less items at the start.
This also makes items other than extra energy shells more worthwhile, so it may be better for deckbuilding in the end as well.
Anyway, that's all live now so let me know if you have any feedback!
