Update v0.40.6

MacOS

Applied hotfix to address crashing that was only reproduced on MacOS

Note: We have decided to release v0.40.6 on MacOS early to try and address a crash that occurs. In future we will endeavour to maintain version number parity between Windows and Mac versions.
