Peaks of Yore update for 19 February 2024

Patch 1.5.0

Hello everybody! This patch adds a few changes to the Barometer to better help with finding items on peaks. There are also some minor tweaks to Ice Axes and Crampons, as well as a bunch of bugfixes. Be sure to check them out below!

Barometer

• The North and West position indicators have been replaced with an indicator for Highest Altitude reached.
• A directional indicator have been added to show the general direction of the nearest collectable (Artefacts and Collectable Ropes). If the indicator is spinning, all artefacts have been found on the current map.
• You can find the new item direction indicator and highest altitude reached next to the regular compass.

Ice Axes

• Ice Axes strike force will scale down gradually depending on how quick and often you spam switching between ice axes and hands.
  This resets itself after a moment where you arent swapping, or instantly when you are grabbing a regular hold or latched onto ice. The lowest percent the strike force will be limited to (after much spam-swapping) is 30% of the original.
• You won't notice this unless you spam equip / unequip ice axes.

Crampons

• Crampons jump will only reset if you are grabbing a hold / latched on ice and below a certain high velocity.

Other Updates

• Added some additional checks to detect Ultrawide resolutions.
• Nerfed the wind on Solemn Tempest.
• Great Gaol can now be seen from Wuthering Crest.
• Ymir's Shadow is now faintly visible from the summit of Solemn Tempest.
• Solemn Tempest is now faintly visible from the summit of Ymir's Shadow.

Bugfixes

• Fixed an issue with being able to use crampons 3 times in a row.
• Fixed a collision issue on the summit of Lighthouse.
• Fixed an environmental collision issue on Great Bulwark.
• Fixed some boundary issues on Cromlech.
• Fixed an issue with not being able to use hotkeys for tools when secured on the wall with crampons.
• Fixed a bug with being able to use the rope while equipping an ice axe in the same hand.
• Fixed some issues with time attack achievements and the smoking pipe sometimes not being rewarded.
• Fixed an issue with chalk not showing up on arms/hands after use.
• Fixed some bugs with chalk not visually updating.
• Fixed some issues with boundary collision across all maps.
• Fixed a bug with the barometer not showing metres below the surface.
• Fixed some visual issues with the pocket watch and scoreboard.
• Fixed a bug where you could see your body while cleaning artefacts.
• Fixed a bug where you could see the cleaning brush out of frame on high FOV.
• Fixed a bug with the Monocular not setting FOV properly after adjusting in-game FOV settings.

Hotfix 1.5.0a

• Fixed a bug with some maps putting you out of bounds when falling into water.
