Hi there, little slimes.
We just pushed a new major update for Jello.
Looking at your playthroughs, and feedback, it became apparent that the current way of progression limits the amount of the game people tend to play through and enjoy.
It was way too easy to get stuck on a level, get frustrated, and quit the game. Now, our goal is not to remove the challenge alltogether, but we'd like to give you some more freedom in how you can complete the game.
So, now as soon as you complete the first section of the game, and unlock the lemur's den where you select levels, you can choose to complete the worlds in any order that you want. Midway through playing a world, you can also go play another world, and come back to finish your progress later.
Completing a world now gives you the building blocks from it to use in the level editor, so you can make your own levels with the world's elements, backgrounds, and music.
Level workshop also reflects the easier world unlocking, as you can play any level from any player, regardless if you completed that world or not.
Besides that, we have fixed a lot of small bugs here and there.
On a sadder note, minor physics changes have been introduced, but that does mean that some of the playthroughs registered in the leaderboards are no longer valid, as the same input leads to a different outcome. We will go through the leaderboards and update them so that all of the entries on the leaderboard will have a valid replay and a correct completion time.
We hope you enjoy the update, and we are looking forward for more feedback and seeing more playthroughs in the later worlds from you on the leaderboards 🙂
