This patch aims to improve performance and keep FPS in the 60-144 range depending on your refresh rate. It's still a bit experimental, so let me know either via Discord or the Bug Report feature ingame if you run into issues!

  • Reduced the cost of object collision simulation substantially. This can cause a 4-5x FPS boost on endgame content depending on your hardware setup
  • Updated the Follow AI to only perform update ticks every .3 seconds instead of every frame. You should not see any behavior change here, but should see a ~15-30% FPS increase depending on the game state
  • Updated the Follow AI to not compute potential monster targets unless the AI is in "pet" mode for the Beastmaster
  • Preloaded all monster projectiles when the initial monster preload happens at game launch. Might cause slightly longer loading times, but should improve performance
  • Preloaded weather effects on game load
  • Changed Shockwave's graphical effect to match the pixel art style of the game and be generally less visually disruptive at lower attack transparency settings
